Clones of the Orelja de Elefante Mexicana nopal cultivar were evaluated to find the ones with the best agronomic and zootechnical characteristics for potential use as forage. The study was conducted at the Instituto Agronómico de Pernambuco (IPA) in Brazil. The clones were evaluated based on characteristics such as yield, plant height, stem diameter, cladode width and length, and spines. The results of the study showed that some clones, such as CO-1, CO-2, and CO-3, had the best potential for forage use due to their high yield and favorable agronomic and zootechnical characteristics.[1][5]
